It is most important to me that the right puppy find the right owner, so please answer the questions as completely as you can to help me determine if I have a puppy suitable for your needs. 1.How did you find out about HAF2HAV Aussies? 2.Do you have a time frame in which you wish to acquire a puppy? When? 3.Have you ever raised a puppy before? What breed? 4.Are you familiar with the Australian Shepherd or Miniature Australian Shepherd Breed? Describe any that you may have owned in the past 5.Are there children in the home? What are their ages? Have they been around dogs before and do they know how to treat and respect them? 6.Are there any other dogs pets? What kind or breed? 7.Mini Aussies are very devoted companion dogs, are you prepared to have a constant ”shadow”? 8.How much of the time would the pup/dog be able to spend with you or a family member? 9.If left alone in a large area for excessive periods of time Mini Aussies may resort to barking, digging or other undesirable behavior. If you must be gone for long periods at times, describe a secure, cozy, comfortable place where the dog will stay so that it will not become a neighborhood nuisance? 10.Describe how the dog will be contained in your yard. How much time will the dog spend indoors? Outdoors? Alone while you are at work? 11.What concerns do you or any family member have about getting a puppy and what do you consider would constitute a problem with a puppy/dog? 12.Do you plan to crate train your puppy/dog? Have you ever done this before? How might you react to an occasional “oops”? 13.Are you committed to providing premium quality food, routine vaccinations and worming treatments and providing health care as needed and treating the pup/dog as a valued member of the family? 14.How do you plan to provide exercise for your puppy/dog? 15.How do you plan to train your puppy/dog? 16.Mini Aussies, just like their larger counterparts come in a range of temperaments, body types and coat types. What is your idea of the perfect Mini? 17.Do you have a particular color in mind and just how important is that to you? 18.Do you prefer male female no preference Why? 19.Mini Aussies range in size from as small as 13” tall to 18” tall. Do you have a particular size in mind? Just how important is that to you? 20.Occasionally, a larger puppy could go slightly over the 18” height described in the breed standard. Would that be a problem if that were to occur? 21.Although a well groomed Mini Aussie which is fed a quality diet usually does not have “doggy” odor or excessive dander, are you aware that Mini Aussies may shed heavily at certain times of the year (usually in the Spring or Fall). Is that a problem with you? 22.Mini Aussies are well known for their wonderful intelligence and versatility. Do you have an interest in any of the following? Conformation Shows Obedience Trials Flyball Herding Trials Agility Frisbee Therapy Dog Search and Rescue Rally-O Supreme Companion Other (please describe)? 23.Do you have a price range in mind (i.e. pet only, very fancy pet, breeding quality, or breeding quality that is fancy enough to show)? 24.Do you plan to spay or neuter your dog, if bought to be a pet, no matter how pretty or expensive it is? (Managing a breeding dog can be expensive and is a serious responsibility---not for everyone) 25.If breeding is in your plans, what would be the goal and purpose of your breeding program? 26.If you plan to breed, do you agree to abide by the MASCA/NAMASCUSA code of ethics, which includes clearing eyes and submitting x-rays for OFA rating before breeding and to plan your breeding only to further enhance the breed? 27.Occasionally I have a pup of outstanding quality for which I would want you the buyer to Show in some sort of Venue being Conformation, Agility, Obedience, ect. I for sure would like the buyer to try to make this quality of pup a UKC or MASCA Champion and to have all clearances done if intended on breeding at the age of two or older. Also I would expect the buyer to socalize the pup so that the pup does not become shy in any way by taking the pup to a puppy class of some sort. The dog would be held in a co-ownership until the obligation would be fulfilled at which time I would sign off of the co-ownership. Would you be interested Yes No Comments 28.
